INTRODUCTION
National Steel Complex Limited (NSCL) is a state-of-the-art environment-friendly steel manufacturing project which is based on the world’s most advanced Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) technology of the MIDREX Process owned by Kobe Steel of Japan. With a designed capacity to produce 1.5 million tons of high-quality DRI per annum, NSCL will be the largest private-sector integrated steel manufacturing unit in Pakistan.
- • Envisioned to be Pakistan’s first and largest completely integrated steel complex located at Port Qasim on an area of 220 acres, with a state of the art cutting edge technology.
- • Phase-1 of the project, the DRI Plant already completed in NSCL. Current replacement cost US$ 700 million.
- • Bringing the most environment friendly DRI technology of Midrex (USA) to Pakistan, internationally recognized as the “Name of the Game”.
- • A pioneering initiative in Pakistan, exploring domestic iron ore through mechanized mining, its beneficiation and pelletization through APCL, an additional FDI in the offing of around US$ 200
- • Reliance 100% on indigenous raw material resources, ultimately going unto the finished steel products, both long & flat.
- • A project of Transfer of Technology in all three phases, containing Capex significantly and employment generation for around 5,000 individuals.
- • No conventional LSTK concept, reliance maximum possible/feasible on local value addition.
Expenses all in PKR, forex earnings eventually going up to US$ 1 Billion per annum.

1955 - From Birth to a Period of Growth
Nippon Gakki Hamana Factory established in Hamakita-cho (present Hamamatsu city), Hamana-gun, Shizuoka Pref and production of our first product, the 125cc Yamaha motorcycle “YA-1” begins.
1970 - Creation of Demand and New Business
Yamaha Motor Canada Limited (YMCA) founded in Canada. Signed joint venture agreement with Brunswick Co. (U.S.) and Brunswick invests in Sanshin Industries.
2000 - Opening up Limitless Worlds of Potential
Yamaha builds temporary pool “Suimu 21” for the main competition pool of the 9th World Swimming Championships in Fukuoka, Japan Yamaha succeeds in the high-concentration mass culturing.
2010 - Moving further with global operations and monozukuri reforms
Medium-term management plan with central pillars of structural reform and growth strategies announced. Start of increased manufactuaring of Japanese boats to assist Great East Japan Earthquake recovery efforts.
