Now, A Reality
What began as a vision on a barren, almost deserted piece of land has transformed into a remarkable achievement—a state-of-the-art DRI plant for the production of Green Steel. This journey was far from easy, marked by highs and lows, hurdles, and countless challenges. Yet, with determination and firm commitment, the project was brought to life, utilizing the world’s most advanced DRI technology based on the MIDREX process, owned by Kobe Steel of Japan. The facility was thoroughly tested by the Midrex Team and successfully demonstrated its full-capacity performance, turning a Dream into a lasting Reality.

Current Status
The only industry in Pakistan having the highest efficiency of 87% in usage of feed stock gas validated by an independent third party working under the Ministry of Industries.
There is no other industry in Pakistan except fertilizer and this DRI plant which uses gas as feed stock. All the other industries use gas as fuel stock where per unit consumption is radically lower.
This is a project of Transfer of Technology in all its phases, with employment generation for around 5,000 individuals in far flung areas of Baluchistan improving lively hoods, access to education and health facilities to a large stratum of the local populace.
